How to Prep Your Artwork for DTF Printing
Getting your file right the first time saves a round of back-and-forth before your gang sheet goes to print. Here's what we look for:
- File type: Transparent PNG, TIFF, or vector PDF work best. If you only have a JPEG or need cleanup, send what you have — we can help prep it.
- Resolution: 300 DPI at the size you want it printed. Scaling up a low-res image will show on press.
- Background: Keep it transparent unless the design is meant to have a solid background — DTF only prints what's in the file.
- Color matching: Share Pantone references or product photos if brand color accuracy matters, and we'll dial in the color profile before printing.
- Layout: No minimums on gang sheets — use the Gang Sheet Builder
